SSL certificates work to provide the highest level of security and certification. In maintaining this level of security, organizational details must be kept as up-to-date as possible. In order to ensure this level of authentication, the certificate needs to be renewed more regularly.

Due to changes in Apple and Google Root Store Policies, as of September 1, 2020, newly issued SSL/TLS Certificates with a validity period greater than 13 months (397 days) were prohibited by policy, and are not trusted. Therefore, as of August 31, 2020, our SSL provider, GlobalSign, stopped issuing 2-year publicly trusted SSL/TLS Certificates.
