Anyone can register a .XXX domain, but only members of the sponsored community will have their domain resolve. Individuals, business entities, and organizations that provide goods or services to the adult online community are considered members of the sponsored community. Applicants will be verified as a member of the sponsored community by the registry, but requirements are generally broad. For example, XYZ Pencil Company could be considered a member since members of the adult industry use their pencils.
Once you have registered your .XXX domain, the registry will email the registrant with instructions to complete the membership validation process. The registrant will receive a membership contact ID for use with their .XXX application. This ID must be entered into the Membership field of the registrant contact for the .XXX domain.
