What is an Email Alias:
Email aliases allow you to have another name for the same inbox. So you can receive emails sent to an additional address in the same inbox, without creating a separate mailbox.
They’re often used to create alternative or easier-to-remember email addresses, such as department or role-based addresses. Messages sent to the alias are delivered to the main email account, making them easy to manage in one place. In some cases, you can also send emails using the alias as the sender address.
How to set up an alias with your Rebel Cloud Email:
Step 1
Log in to your Rebel account, then select "Products" in the top-left corner. In the top toolbar, you will see “Email”. Please select this.
Step 2
Under Existing Cloud Email Subscriptions, on the right-hand side, there will be a "Manage subscription" button. Select this.
Step 3
You will see a list of your email subscriptions there. For the one you want, select "Manage" on the right-hand side.
Step 4.
For the email address you would like to set up forwarding with, select "Settings" on the right-hand side.
Step 5
Here you will see the different options for your email settings. Select the second option stating "Aliases".
Step 6
A field will be provided where you are able to add the alias address. Once you have filled out the alias name, select "Add Alias."
In the example below, "example@articles.com" has been created as an alias for "hello@articles.com". All "example@articles.com" emails will now go to the "hello@articles.com" inbox, and in the webmail, they can even be replied to as "support@example.ca".
If you would like to delete one of the added aliases, select the "delete" button to the right-hand side of the address.
