Widgets and Plugins are essential small programs or pieces of code that you can add to your WordPress blog or website to add additional functionality. There are currently over 46,000 Widgets and Plugins written for the WordPress platform. These Widgets and plugins provide a variety of features, from increasing security and backing up your site, to adding calendars, maps, and YouTube videos. To use an available Widget, please follow these steps:
Step 1.
Login to your WordPress Dashboard. If you have Easy Builder hosting you can do this through the Quick Login on the My Account page of your Rebel account. If you have Pathfinder, Adventurer, or Globetrotter, please log into the Hosting Manager of your Rebel account and click on the downward arrow button located to the right of Control Panel then click Login to WordPress.
Step 2.
In your WordPress Dashboard, select Appearance from the left hand menu, and select Widgets from the menu options that appear.
Step 3.
Click the titles of the Available Widgets to view details and options.
Step 4.
Click the button to Add Widget.
If you have downloaded a plugin you wish to use on your WordPress blog or website please follow the installation instructions below:
Step 1.
Login to your WordPress Dashboard. To do so, please log into the Hosting Manager of your Rebel account, selecting WordPress from the left hand menu, and clicking the Login button.
Step 2.
In your WordPress Dashboard, select Plugins from the left-hand menu.
Step 3.
Click the button to Add New.
Step 4.
Use the "Search Plugins" feature to find your plugin, or use the Popular, Recommended, or Favorites headers to browse.
Step 5.
Click the Install Now button to begin the installation.
Once your plugin is installed it must be activated before you can use it. There will be an activation option at the end of the installation. You may also activate, edit, deactivate, or delete plugins from the Installed Plugins option in the Plugin menu. These options, when applicable, are available beneath the name of each plugin respectively.
