There are two ways you can assign your contacts to your domain. If you are unsure of how to create a domain contact, please follow our article How to create a new domain contact
In this article, we will show you how to assign contacts to your domain by:
Domain contact manager
In the Domain Contact Manager, you can update a single domain or multiple domains at once and assign them to a contact in bulk. You will be able to choose the contact you’d like to apply to, then select one or more domains to update. This allows you to change several domain contacts in one action instead of editing them individually.
Step 1.
Log in to your Rebel account, then select "Products" in the top-left corner. In the top toolbar, you will see "Domain Contacts”. Please select this.
Step 2.
Here you will see a list of all of your current contacts. For the contact you want to assign, select "Actions" to show the drop-down menu. From the menu, click "Assign to domains".
Step 3.
Here, you’ll be prompted to search for the domain you want to assign the contact to with the upper search bar.
Once the domain appears, you can choose which contact roles to apply: Billing, Administrative, and/or Technical. You may select one role, multiple roles, or all three.
You also have the option to assign the same contact to multiple domains at the same time.
Once you are finished assigning your domain, select "Proceed to save".
Step 4.
You will get a confirmation page verifying the changes that were made for the domain contacts. If everything looks correct, please click "Save changes".
You will get an option to assign again. If everything was done properly, you would be able to select "No, I am good".
Domain editing page
If you access a domain through its individual editing page, you can update the contact details for that specific domain only. Changes made here apply to that one domain and cannot be applied to multiple domains at the same time.
Step 1.
Log in to your Rebel account, then select "Products" in the top-left corner. In the top toolbar, you will see "Domains”. Please select this.
Step 2.
You will see a list of your domains here. Please select the "Manage" option to the right of the wanted domain.
Step 3.
Here you will be brought to your domain editing page. In the top left menu, select "Contacts".
Step 4.
In the upper right-hand side, you will see the orange "Assign Contact" button; select this.
Step 5.
A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to search for the contact you’d like to assign to the selected domain. Once you’ve located the correct contact, click “Select” on the right-hand side to confirm.
Step 6.
You’ll see the selected contact along with the four contact roles available for assignment. Check the box beside each role you’d like to update. When you’re finished, click “Save Changes” to apply your updates.
