If your website shows a “Not Secure” warning in the browser, it usually means that an SSL certificate is missing, not installed correctly, or not being used by your website. SSL certificates encrypt the connection between your website and your visitors, which helps keep information secure and allows your site to load using HTTPS instead of HTTP.
No current SSL installed
One common reason for this warning is that your website does not currently have an SSL certificate installed. Without an SSL certificate, browsers will automatically mark the site as not secure. If your hosting plan includes SSL, you may need to enable it through your hosting control panel or ensure it has been properly issued for your domain.

SSL is not installed properly
Another possible reason is that the SSL setup process may not have been fully completed. Installing and activating an SSL certificate involves a few steps, and if one of them is missed, the certificate may not become active on your website.
SSL Lifecycle
You may also see this warning if the SSL certificate has expired, is invalid, or does not match the domain name being used. For example, this can happen if the certificate was issued for www.yourdomain.com, but visitors are accessing yourdomain.com without the correct coverage.
SSL Set-up Time
If you recently added an SSL certificate, it may take a short amount of time for the changes to fully apply. Clearing your browser cache or waiting a few minutes can sometimes resolve the issue.
If you continue to see a “Site Not Secure” warning and are unsure why, we recommend checking your SSL status in your hosting control panel or reaching out to our support team.
