What Are the localhost and loopback DNS Records?
Some domains using Rebel DNS may include the following default DNS records:
| Type | Host | Points To |
|---|---|---|
| A | localhost | 127.0.0.1 |
| A | loopback | 127.0.0.1 |
These records were added by Rebel as part of older default DNS zone templates.
Can I Remove These Records?
If these default localhost and loopback A records were created by Rebel, they can generally be removed if they are no longer needed.
However, if you or your system administrator created or modified these records for a specific purpose, do not remove them unless you have confirmed they are no longer required.
If you're unsure whether the records are being used by an application or custom configuration, consult your system administrator before making any changes.
