Overview
Rebel provides fully managed web hosting infrastructure support. Our technical team maintains the hosting server environment, network availability, operating system, web server software, database engines, and server-side security platforms.
Rebel does not build, design, code, or edit customer websites. Understanding where server infrastructure support ends, where your Plesk self-service tools begin, and where website application management requires a web developer ensures your service requests are handled efficiently.

Plesk Automated Email Notifications & System Alerts
When your domain is hosted on a Rebel Plesk server (such as
canada20.rebel.com), automated system notifications are sent to the primary email address on your Rebel account.Common Automated Notifications Include:
- Let's Encrypt SSL Expiration / Renewal Failures: Alerts when an automated SSL renewal fails due to missing DNS records or domain misconfigurations (e.g.,
404 No such authorization).
- WP Toolkit Automated Updates: System logs confirming background updates for WordPress core, themes, or plugins.
- Resource Limit Warnings: Notifications regarding storage thresholds or database capacity.
How Rebel Support Helps: If you receive a technical alert email fromno-reply@rebel.comor Plesk and are unsure of the required action, forward the email directly to Rebel Support. Our team will review the system logs to identify the cause and assist with resolving server-side issues (such as fixing SSL issuance or adjusting server permissions).
Services Handled by Rebel Support & Plesk Tools
Rebel Support assists you in navigating and configuring the core management features inside your Plesk Hosting Control Panel:
1. Application Installation & Website Builders
- WordPress Installation: Assisting with single-click WordPress deployment through the Plesk WP Toolkit.
- SiteJet Builder: Guiding clients on how to activate and launch SiteJet Builder within their Plesk hosting package for simplified site creation.
2. WP Toolkit Management & Maintenance
Inside the WordPress Tab in Plesk, our team can guide you through using or troubleshooting the following native management tools:
WP Toolkit Features:
├── Files, Plugins, Themes, & Databases
├── Logs & WP-CLI Access
├── Copy Data & Staging Clones
├── Backup / Restore Snapshots
└── WordPress Integrity Checks- One-Touch Updates: Managing core, plugin, and theme update toggles directly from Plesk.
- Security & SSL (Let's Encrypt): Installing free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates and running baseline security audit checks.
- Server Performance Toggles: Enabling NGINX Caching, Search Engine Indexing toggles, and delegating background tasks via
wp-cron.php.
- Developer Tools: Configuring PHP versions, enabling WP Debugging modes, setting Password Protection on directories, toggling Maintenance Mode, and running Smart Updates.
3. Server Security & Advanced Protections
- Escalated Security Measures: If Plesk flags critical risk items under Mitigate Vulnerabilities, Rebel Support will escalate the incident to our Senior Hosting Engineering team for deep investigation and remediation.
- Vulnerability Protection (WP Guardian & Patchstack): Automated background scanning that applies virtual firewall patches to vulnerable plugins and themes without altering your website's source code.
- Hotlink Protection: Assisting with configuration under Websites & Domains > Hotlink Protection to prevent third-party sites from stealing your server bandwidth by direct-linking your images and media files.
4. Advanced Framework Support (Laravel, Ruby, Joomla!)
For advanced web applications deployed on Plesk (such as Laravel, Ruby, or Joomla!), Rebel Support guarantees underlying server compatibility, database connectivity, and environment provisioning. Application-level routing, custom framework coding, and environment dependencies are handled on a best-effort basis and may require a specialized developer.
Application Services Handled by the Client or Web Developer
Tasks executed within application administration panels (e.g.,
/wp-admin), site builders, or direct site source code fall strictly under client or web developer maintenance:Where the Developer Line is Drawn:
- Custom Code & Theme File Modifications: Editing
.php,.css, or.jsfiles to alter website appearance or layout functionality. Modifying these files incorrectly can crash your site; structural code edits must be managed by a web developer.
- Website Building & Layout Design: Customizing visual page builders (Elementor, Divi), menu creation, mobile responsiveness adjustments, and content insertion.
- Plugin Configuration & E-Commerce Gateways: Setting up complex third-party tools, payment gateway credentials (e.g., Stripe, BlueSnap, PayPal), contact forms, and CRM integrations.
- Debugging Application-Level Errors: Resolving php script errors, database schema conflicts, or theme incompatibility bugs identified in server logs.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Does Rebel build or design websites for customers?
A: No. Rebel provides web hosting infrastructure and domain registration. We do not offer web design, custom software development, or site-building services. Website creation and design must be completed by the client or a third-party web developer.
Q: Will Rebel Support fix a broken plugin or theme error on my site?
A: Rebel Support does not edit application code or configure third-party plugins. However, if a plugin causes a critical server error (such as a 500 Internal Server Error), our team can inspect your server logs and assist in disabling the failing plugin via WP Toolkit so you or your developer can safely regain dashboard access.
Q: What happens if I get an automated Let's Encrypt failure email from Plesk?
A: Simply forward the email to Rebel Support. Our engineers will check your domain's DNS pointing, resolve any authorization blocks on the server, and manually issue or renew the SSL certificate for you.
Q: How are deleted pages or lost website content recovered?
A: Content deleted inside the WordPress editor can be restored using the built-in Revisions tool in your WordPress page editor. If an entire page or database table was purged, Rebel Support can restore your site files and database from an available server backup snapshot.
Q: How do I submit a server configuration request?
A: Contact Rebel Support via Email. Specify your required server adjustment—such as increasing PHP memory limits, updating a PHP version, or requesting a server snapshot restoration—and our team will process it for you.
