Overview
If a domain name's expiration date changes suddenly or extends further into the future, the change is usually caused by an automatic renewal.
Domains configured with Auto-Renew enabled are automatically renewed before their expiration date to prevent accidental service disruption or domain loss. When auto-renewal processes, the card on file is charged and the expiration date updates immediately.
Self-Service Verification Steps
Before contacting support, verify whether an automatic renewal took place:
Step 1: Check Auto-Renew Settings
Log into your account portal.
Navigate to Domain Management / My Domains.
Select your domain and check the Auto-Renew toggle or column status.
If Auto-Renew is set to ON, our system automatically processed a renewal transaction to extend your domain's registration period.
Step 2: Check Email & Billing History
Open the email inbox associated with your account.
Search for a recent Invoice or Order Confirmation email sent for the domain renewal.
Alternatively, check the Billing / Order History section inside your account dashboard to view recent payment receipts.
When to Contact Live Support
If you have confirmed that the domain was not renewed via auto-renew or manual payment, direct assistance from a support specialist is required.
