Overview
Depending on your web hosting package, you may be able to host single or multiple domains under one hosting account.
Every hosting package is permanently connected to a Primary Domain. Because the primary domain acts as the core identifier for your hosting package, you cannot remove or disconnect a primary domain on your own. Changing or disconnecting a primary domain requires assistance from our support team.
However, if you have additional (secondary or add-on) domains hosted under the same package, you can easily remove them yourself directly from your account dashboard.
Step-by-Step: Removing an Add-On Domain
If you want to disconnect a secondary domain (that is not your primary domain) from your hosting package, follow these steps:
Step 1: Navigate to Your Hosting Packages
Log in to your account dashboard.
In the top-left corner, select Products.
In the top toolbar, click on Hosting.
Step 2: Open the Actions Menu
Locate the hosting package containing the domain you want to remove. Beside the purple Control Panel button, click on Actions to open the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Remove the Domain
From the drop-down menu, select Remove Domain.
Select the specific domain you would like to disconnect from the hosting package.
Click Save to confirm.
When to Contact Live Support
You will need assistance from a support agent in either of the following situations:
Removing the Primary Domain: You are attempting to disconnect or change the main/primary domain associated with your hosting account.
System Glitches or Errors: You tried removing an add-on domain, but encountered an error message—or the system indicated success, but the domain remains connected.
In these cases, please connect with a Live Agent so a specialist can safely update your backend hosting assignments.
