Overview
When attempting to upgrade your hosting package or add a new email account, you may experience an issue where the processing screen or Plesk update button spins indefinitely.
This infinite loading state occurs when the background server request encounters a lock, session timeout, or database sync task that fails to resolve on the web interface.
Why Is the Processing Screen Stuck?
A loading spinner that never finishes typically points to a backend server communication stall rather than a browser error:
| Symptom | Cause | Resolution |
| Package upgrade spins indefinitely | Subscription resource recalculation or billing system sync lock on the server. | Support must reset the pending transaction task and apply the package tier manually. |
| Adding email account spins indefinitely | Mail service configuration lock or database table contention in Plesk. | Support must restart the mail configuration daemon or unlock the domain mail table. |
Can Users Self-Serve This Issue?
This issue cannot be resolved through self-service.
Refreshing your browser page, re-submitting the form, or logging out and back in will not resolve an active background thread lock on the server. Continuing to click the button may create duplicate pending tasks.
If your Plesk button keeps spinning indefinitely when you're trying to upgrade a package or add an email, this is not something you can solve on your own. In this case, you will have to contact live support in order to get this sorted out for you.
