Why Am I Getting an Error at Checkout When Transferring a Domain?

If you receive an “Unexpected error” or “Something went wrong processing your order” message when checking out a domain transfer, review the following before trying again.

What to Check

1. Review your Personal Information and make sure all required account information is complete.
2. Confirm that your billing address is correct.
3. Check that your credit card details are correct and the card has not expired. We accept credit cards or PayPal for payment.
4. If your credit card is not working, try another credit card or PayPal.
5. Open a private or incognito browser window and try the checkout again.
6. If you are transferring a large number of domains in one order, try transferring them in smaller batches.

If the error continues after completing these steps, please contact Support so we can investigate the checkout issue.
