Overview
As a domain registrant, ICANN regulations mandate that you receive annual WHOIS Data Reminder Policy (WDRP) notices to verify that your domain contact details remain accurate and up to date.
However, if you receive a notification originating from whoisreminder.info (or similar third-party sender domains) containing contact details that do not match what is listed in your account, do not click any links within the email. Third-party WHOIS reminder emails can occasionally be phishing attempts or contain out-of-date directory snapshots. Always verify your contact details directly through your secure account portal.
Self-Service Verification Steps
If you receive a WHOIS reminder notification and want to verify your official domain contact information safely:
Step 1: Securely Log Into Your Account
Do not click any links, buttons, or URLs inside the email notice. Instead, open a new web browser tab, navigate directly to our website, and log into your account dashboard.
Step 2: Check Domain Contact Details
Go to Domain Management / My Domains.
Select the domain name referenced in the WHOIS reminder email.
Select Domain Contacts (or WHOIS Info).
Review the listed Registrant, Administrative, Technical, and Billing contact details to ensure your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address are current and correct.
If changes are needed, update the fields directly within your dashboard and save your changes.
When to Contact Live Support
If your account dashboard reflects accurate information but you continue to receive conflicting notices, or if you encounter discrepancies you cannot update yourself, direct technical support is required.
