If your email settings are set up using a POP connection, please use the following POP settings, DO NOT delete and re-add email as IMAP unless you have created a backup/export of your email - this could result in lost emails.
Server Settings
- Incoming server name: imap.rebel.com
- Port: 993
- Connection security: SSL/TLS
- Outgoing server name: smtp.rebel.com
- Port: 587
- Connection security: STARTTLS
The following video describes how to update your email settings in Apple Mail for MacOS. Other versions of Mail may have a different appearance, but should be similar enough for you to follow along.
Step 1.
Click Mail in the top left and then Preferences.
Step 2.
Click on your email address and then Server Settings.
Step 3.
Change your settings to the following:
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP) Host Name: imap.rebel.com
Uncheck Automatically Manage Connection Settings and set the following:
- Port: 993
- SSL/TLS is checked
Step 4.
Change your settings to the following:
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Host Name: smtp.rebel.com
Uncheck Automatically Manage Connection Settings and set the following:
- Port: 587
- SSL/TLS is checked
Step 5.
Click Save.
