Switching your two-factor authentication (2FA) method back to phone number and email allows you to receive verification codes by text message and email when logging into your Rebel account. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to update your 2FA settings back to phone and email verification.
Step 1.
Log in to your Rebel account, select “My Account” in the left-side menu, then from the top toolbar, click “Security”.
Step 2.
On the right-hand side, you will see your current method of authentication, it should state "Authentication App". To change it back to your phone number and email select "SMS Text" and "Confirm Changes" afterwards.
Step 3.
Enter the verification code generated by your current authentication app into the field below. Once entered correctly, click “Confirm.”
Step 4.
Next, you’ll be asked to confirm the phone number on file, as we will send a verification code to the number on file. If you need to change it, please select "Manage Personal Info." If not, select the "Confirm" button.
Step 5.
After selecting confirm from the previous step, you will be sent a verification code. Input this into the field below, and once entered correctly select "Confirm"
Step 6.
If the code is entered correctly, you’ll see a confirmation message letting you know that the authentication app has been successfully enabled. From now on, you’ll use this method to verify your identity each time you log in to your Rebel account.
